New for 1997, Chevrolet Tahoe comes with a front passenger airbag and speed sensitive power steering. This year's base model is offered in two-door, 2WD only. Both two-door and four-door models can be attained in LS and LT trim packages. Tahoe is a perfect choice for people who are on the go for outdoor leisure and labor industry. This vehicle's utilizes 5.7-liter V8 engine except for the two-door 4WD model that has an available 6.5-liter V8 turbo diesel engine. Also new for Chevy Tahoe is a center console that includes bucket seats and provide a fold-out writing surface. Leather seats and upgraded stereo equipment are available options. '97 Chevy Tahoe also has standard antilock brakes that act on all four wheels, both in two-wheel and four-wheel drive. This year's four-door trim has standard equipment such as air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, ABS brakes, cassette player and 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission.
